Got Froyo but didnt unroot, now i cant unroot... SOME PLEASE HELP

I DL Froyo last night threw the OTA update but did not unroot before doing it. Now when i try to run anything that was a APP that needed root the app will not work as i planned. The only problem now is that the Easyroot will not let me unroot. I hit the unroot button and it says restart your phone to unroot but then within a second it says your phone is rooted. Then when i open busy box it says phone rooted busybox not installed so i try to install that and it says it can not be installed because Nand is not unlocked or unable to remount. Can someone please HELP me with this.

All i want is for my phone to be able to Wirelessly tether again as it did befor froyo with WIFI tether for root.

I would also like to figure out if i need to unroot and then reroot with a compatible version to 2.2Froyo.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes I do want it rooted again to utilize the free wifi tethering but I think I need to get the root for 2.1 off first. I may be wrong. I just know that at this point it says my phone is rooted, but busybox wont work and I am pretty sure it needs to. Also my wifi tether that was working last night before the update will not work now.

    Thanks

only method I have seen to root a DX on 2.2 is with the droid 2 method. there is no easyroot or 1 click root that will work with the official 2.2 update. more then likely it's giving you a false positive on being rooted. if you are able I would just uninstall easy root and do the droid 2 method of rooting.

Actually, there is a 1 click method for the DX (which is a D2 method) but you do it through the computer and not through the phone.

Does not count if you have to use Windoze.

I have rebooted several times. So if I just uninstall the easyroot from my applications area it will be gone even though its telling me that my phone is still rooted? And then all I would need to do is root the phone with the D2 process. Is that correct?
