Lightbulb I <3 TITANIUM BACKUP - Did Factory Reset and lost all my paid apps. then did 2.2

I can't stress how important it is to have a backups of your paid apps. I basically did a Factory restore to OTA 2.2 and lost all my paid apps. Only one developer helped by offering a refund for the original purchase if I repurchased the app again. The others basically said its Google's Fault and they can't do anything. I was frustrated that my market was not syncing with my account (so I can re-install purchased apps), but then I remembered I had made a backup of all my apps and system data prior the Factory reset and 2.2 OTA. I located the lost apps and hit restore. I opened the apps and also checked the android market! THEY WERE ALL THERE AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED

    ----------------
Moral of the story kiddies... make sure you have a BACKUP APP RUNNING!

I notice when I use an backup app like titanium that if i click on DOWNLOADS from the market it no longer lists any of my apps i have currently downloaded in the phone... Will that be a problem when updates are released for apps? Will my phone know there is an update? Normally i check by going to downloads on the market and it states update next to each app that has an update available.

How do you restore all of your backups with Titanium, anyway? I haven't had to do it yet, so I'm unsure. But when it comes time to update to Froyo (which I'm dreading @_@) I'm sure I'll need it

If it works anything like Astro or most backup apps, you just need to goto backup/restore and choose backup and select all the apps you wish to make a back up of. Then when it's time to restore you just download the APP u used to back up with in the first place and go to the restore option and it will auto locate all your backed up apps and you just hit restore and boom there you have it it will allow you to install one by one instead of having to download them first .

So I'm on leaked 2.2, and want to switch to the OTA. I'm not rooted, so I can't use Titanium. What's my best option?
    Droid X + 2.3 + Tasker + Voice Search = "now that's what I call a smart phone."
