How do i get my contacts back?

Before i activated my DX i put all my contacts on the sd card. Ok cool. I really didn't worry about it cause on the D1 every time i entered a contact it save in my gmail...now i activated and sync it and i have all my facebook contacts in my phonebook. How can i get the contracts off the sd card and get rid of the facebook contacts...thanks if you can help me out....

Did you sync to the "stock facebook" account? If so, delete the account and go to the market and download "facebook for android" - this will remove the Facebook contacts from the stock account and you can select how you want to sync them when you install FB for android.

To import your contacts from SD - open the contacts app (address book) in app drawer - hard menu key - more - import / export - import contacts from SD card...(I hope the path is similar for 2.1 if not the same)....

Well everything work except the import from sd card...but im on 2.1 so that could be why. But i have all my contacts that were on gmail. ...,thank you so much,

Yea I Bet.....Can i Ask One More Question...How do i stop all these apps from running in the background like skpe, car dock, acounts, and etc..?

Of course you can...I do not believe that there is much harm in them running altho it may be annoying to see them in the running processes, the system will manage itself...with that said - here are some threads to review...

You can root your phone and remove / rename so you do not see them running...

There is this thread where it talks about an app called "autostarts" - it also requires that your phone be rooted...
