Listening to music - not loud enough.

The speakers are fine and are loud enough, but when I listen to music through my headphones, it just isn't. On max, it sound like it's not on max volume. I tried different eq's but still not good enough. Is anyone else noticing this? Is there some kind of app that fixes this?

The type of headphones you use is a factor but I agree, the headphone volume does need to be louder. I could even stand to have the ringer/speaker volume louder too, but fortunately I wasn't one of the folks that got a phone stuck in permanent quiet mode.

I'm on 2.1 stock and I'm using Ultimate Ears 700s. They cost a pretty penny but I can't seem to go back to anything else.

yea, you have to watch for their sales.

I have the triple fi 10's myself, but I bought them when they had a major sale going on & they where $79. (they sold out in about five minutes)

Try turning the audio effects off in settings. It makes the music more "pure" and louder because it bypasses software processing. I turn off all audio effects in my electronics except home theater.

Ya I know where your coming from, I just switched from an Htc droid Incredible that I had been using for a couple months to the Motorola droid x and I noticed right away that the volume wasn't even close to what it was on the incredible, the incredible was loud!! I did some reading around a few different websites and they said that the speaker is the same speaker that is in the incredible is in the x , so I called Motorola today and asked them if there were any updates coming out that would fix the low volume issue and they assured me that there is an update coming thats going to fix the low volume so I guess now all we do is wait!! lol I just wanted to make sure it was gonna be fixed so I knew whether to keep the phone or not within my 30 day trial. and for anyone that is wanting to compare I love the x way better than the incredible!!

I have the Triplefi 10's with the voice on my DX and honestly, i think they sound like crap on the X. Im now using a AMP and life is much much better for these IEM. The volume issue both internally and externally was supposed to be addressed in 2.2, so its a sit and wait game.
