    What video player plays .mkv

I've been looking for RockPlayer (Arm7) on the market since it's seems that this app is the best video player, but it's not there anymore. Does anyone know why? is there an alternative that will allow me to play .mkv? I'm leaving for vacation in a couple of days, and want to watch Cowboy Bebop on the plane. I don't want to convert since they are already high quality.

    Thanks,

    Edge

It would be awesome to get an MKV player on Droid. Even more awesome would be a media player that could handle ISO files of DVDs and Blurays! Makes me wish I knew enough to code'em myself.

LOL a 1Ghz Arm processor could not PLAY an ISO image even if you had a player Never mind you cant put files > 4 GB on your card.

Hmm. I guess streaming from a NAS would be out of the question, then? Sad that my little WDTV can do it, but my kick-ass Droid X can't... yet.

It probably has a dedicated encoder/decoder. I mean heck my old TiVo is only like 233mhz but t can encode on the fly and play back.

Why? The card has to be formatted in FAT? i suppose that makes sense, much to my chagrin.

Streaming may not be out of the question, at least over wifi. There are solutions floating around for this.

It can't handle encoding/decoding like dedicated devices specifically designed for that sort of thing.

Just convert to mp4 and be happy your phone is so sweet. The 4gb maximum file size is a limitation of fat32 - let's not forget it's a file system from '95...
