um. i dont knwo if this is important...but i just realized that if i plug my usb cable from my old DARE phone into the x, and reboot the x...it will go STRAIGHT to the bootloader
with the cable that came in the box with my x, it boots like normal.
mmaybe my dare cable is old and crusty or something, but could someone else try it and see?
btw.i just flashed the stock sbf using the dare cable, and it seems to have worked like normalk
(edit) comfirmed to work using BB data cable as well

bootloader can be accessed by camera and volume down while powering on. is that harder?

I used a bb storm data cable and booted just fine!!

maybe it was a different bb...anyone got a dare cable lying around?
whew..man, dont flash using that cable though..fixed all my problems reflashing with the droid cable..it was ALL jacked up before
