    Yes it was djrbliss's exploit. I did finally fix the OP but I'm guessing you were editing at the same time I was. My main computer was having a problem (I've seen it a couple times) where it wouldn't do anything with certain buttons -- like the save button. A reboot fixed that.

    The Droid recovery I did missed a few things like first letters of a couple files so I'm trying Titanium Backup to restore the files I had copied to my desktop computer. I haven't deleted any of those programs I installed so I'll see how things go with a restore.

    I haven't kept up much the last year or so on Android OS and Droids. How common is it to find a virus, trojan or malware in Droid app's ? Last I knew it was still fairly rare.

    Yes I was, I should have rechecked post, before I clicked save.

    very rare, if installing from play store or amazon, and play store will remote uninstall apps they find problems with.
