Jellybean ROM

I am looking for a newer ROM like a jellybean type ROM if one exists.....Any suggestions? Also is it possible to get a different boot animation other than the stupid eye that needs to try and focus under stock OS?

No JB based ROMs yet that I know of. Bootanimations are easier, (need to be rooted to change 'em)

Most of the developers have moved on. JB is likely a nogo at this point.

If you're rooted grab ROM Toolbox from the market. It has a bunch of boot animations and boot logos to choose from and install.

Not really. It's more personal choice. Try one, make a backup. Try another. If you don't like one, restore the backup of one you like. I'm a Cyanogen guy, myself.

I don't know of any JB ROMS for the Droid X, but you might want to take a look at rootzwiki as well. A lot of Droid X Devs still hang out there, and it may have more options.

I use Liquid ICS. It's smooth, works very well, and makes me feel like my phone isn't quite so ancient. Available here and on Rootz.

Yeah I like the Liquid Ron but do you know if there's a way to set up the notification bar to delete seperate notifications?

Sure, you should be able to just swipe left or right on the individual notifications to get them to go away.
