My GPS has not worked in a week. It won't even find a signal or one satalite. I have tries the tape on the back cover method and have GPS Status, Bearing, and another GPS app and none find the signal. Any ideas?

My GPS has not worked in a week. It won't even find a signal or one satalite. I have tries the tape on the back cover method and have GPS Status, Bearing, and another GPS app and none find the signal. Any ideas?

How would I do that? I can go into GPS Status and reset all cached GPS data. Did that many times and still doesnt work.
Power phone off. Now hold home first, and then power past the red M to a screen with Andy the Android and a triangle with an exclamation point in it. At that screen press both volume keys simultaneously. That should open a menu. Scroll to wipe cache. Use volume to navigate and power to execute. Then reboot.

You open to root it? May be able to replace some configuration files to make it work.
