Button savior is a big one. It puts the menu, home, back, search, volume, camera, and power buttons right on screen so your physical buttons don't get worn out. Titanium BackUp is another big one. Back up all your user and system data along with apps in case of some unforeseen problem in the future. Screen Grabber is nice because if gives you the option of taking screen shots in .png or .jpg formats and from within apps (which stock screenshot app on some roms does not allow.)

My question is about how to reinstall apps after wiping the phone. Is there anything that can be done during the flashing process or afterwards that can automate the installation of all apps that are part of my home screens? I am concerned that I will have to reinstall the apps one at a time. Thanx

If you use titanium backup (pro) you can batch restore all your apps after you wipe.

Thanks - two points of clarification. I have titanium pro and the terminology used is "backup all". Is that the same as batch? Also there are several restore all options. Do I restore apps, apps with data, or all system data?

Second question is do I restore after I have flashed then rebooted or at an earlier point in the process.

    Thank you so much

If you click on the backup tab in titanium and then press menu there should be a batch option. Then it gives you options. User apps is what you would want to back up. (This will include user data.) Never restore system data on different set ups.

And you restore them after you flash and reboot. Once the ROM is up and running.

Depends on what you want out of a ROM. Most Gingerbread ROMs have everything working. Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs have a few things broken, Netflix(all ICS ROMs) and video camera(hit or miss) being the big two.
