I was just wondering if anyone has used a USB port on a car to charge the Droid X? I just got a Honda FIT that has a USB port (claiming to charge ipod devices) and I was just wondering if I should plug my Droid X to it to see if it charges but I am afraid to fry it. Some blogs said that some USB ports on cars do not charge the Droid 3 but I have not read about the Droid X. Thanks!
I don't really see what it would hurt. USB Ports have standards they have to follow so it shouldn't be able to overcharge it or anything (as long as it actually says USB).

I have a head unit in my car and I use it to charge my phone when my other charger I'd being used. I encountered no problems with it
