How do you transfer files using a Mac?

This kind of seems pretty basic, but i'm having trouble moving files to or from my Droid X using a Mac... I assume it must be possible right? But when i plug it into the USB it shows up on my desktop as a cd and only had .exe for the drivers and such... however .exe doesn't seem to work on a mac... Anybody have any ideas, I'd prefer not to take my SD card out in order to transfer things at work... Any help would be much appreciated...

Edit: Also very important is the fact that my Mac is running OS X 10.4 and the android file transfer tools only work for 10.5 and above... I did download dropbox but that seems like it would take forever... plus i would need my phone to be connected to the internet... which isn't always easy in my office...

It should show up under Disks in your Finder

Make sure it is in USB disk mode not PC or Charging

You do not need any tools or drivers this is true for 10.4 and 10.5
