Get root, I suggest a couple directions in froyo.

1 you could mess with stock until you couldn't stand it, freezing bloat and tweaking and probably run nicely.

2 you could flash rubix focused and enjoy one of the cleanest froyo roms and watch that battery flourish.

I need two DX's.. One to try rom's on and one for MIUI because it's THE daily driver for me so I'm not messin' with it.

Technically it's Moto's baseband update, I didn't make it. Also, ky41083 extracted it and made the .zip, I just brought it here and did some other tweaks like the AIO. Its the .15p radio. If you're intending on coming back up to GB there would be no reason not to do the update as its a better radio than the normal GB (13p) radio, and you have to be on Froyo to flash basebands.

I'll admit. Now you have my attention with the "battery flourish". Perhaps, I'll try what lies behind curtain #2.

It's always fun.. If I remember, RubiX was all about stability and efficiency. It's been a loooooong time though. Give'r a shot. There were some really great Froyo roms. Sometimes it makes me wonder if GB was really all that and a bucket of chicken better.

Now that I recall, liberty was my introduction to flashing a rom onto my DX.
