Verizon dropping "Grandfathered" Unlimited Data Plans?

ill downgrade to a dumb phone and use my phone for what it was meant phone calls not web surfing

in all honesty the only time i use my cell for other then talking its to listen to siriusxm on stream i can live without internet on the fly...


between my wife and i we pay 60 dollars for internet on phones she hardly uses and i use for sirius... remember when the world was ruled by pagers maybe its time to go back to that to prove a point to these people

Yes to just using it. I have 2 of them in pretty mint condition. There's enough rom development going on right now to keep my happy for months. I could even leave it in the box. I'd strictly be doing the purchase just to keep the unlimited plan, not because I want or need a new phone.

I went to the store many times checking out the gnex. Personally I could never make myself like it (plastic build, and the back cover I just thought was downright pitiful). I'm going window shopping this weekend on the rezound, but I'll probably stray back to the Razr Maxx. The current info out on this dc'ing unlimited is not at all appealing. But at least right now it seems we are being pushed in to doing this, unless so much backlash comes from this in the next 2 weeks or so.

I just fired off an Email to Verizon...Grandfather...is the KEY WORD...

They can not give you a Choice...its not stated when upgrading to a 4G-5G or any G for that matter...

so let me see if ive got this straight. if i upgrade in july when im due and get a 3g device im safe but if i upgrade to a 4g device im screwed. since 4g isnt available where i live i probablyh wouldnt get one anyway.
