Tape battery cover of extended battery?

I just ordered an extended battery but it didn't come with a cover. When I put my cover on it and push against the battery I see an indentation on my screen. If I just taped the cover to the phone without locking it down will it be okay?

Are you going to use a case? If so don't even worry about the battery door. But otherwise id buy a cheap rubber case and just out it on. But to answer your question tape shouldnt cause a problem.

Excessive back pressure can delaminate your screen. I wouldn't use an extended battery with out the proper cover. Taping it is kinda ghetto but will not cause the back pressure on your screen. I'd get a cover for it then you'll be happy and so will your screen

Well I had one before from verizon but I hated how my case barely fit on it with the cover. Do I really need a cover with a case?
