Amusing seeing all the "How do I go back to 2.1" threads on various forums

Maybe I have been in IT too long or I am just OLD but I never... EVER want to update as soon as possible (on any device)... Unless I have a serious flaw I need to correct.

Even when the OTA comes out I will wait a day or two to see what the issues are. But that's me.

In the mean time I am rather enjoying watching people jump through hoops.

I hate updating stuff way to fast. I've worked for a company before that did completely push me to release my work before it was tested at all, and it showed, I hate it. I'll wait a good week or two to update to 2.2 when it comes out, no need it right when it comes out, my phone works awesome as is, I don't see any need to update it that early.

I attribute it to people thinking they're going to screw up their phone or get "caught" (as if they're somehow doing something wrong). It goes along with the mass hysteria of people deciding it's a good idea not to root because it "could" somehow stop them from getting FroYo. I've said in a dozen threads that we'd have a leaked update.zip before 99.9% of users got it OTA - imagine my lack of surprise when I was right.

I couldn't wait to update to 2.2 - mostly because I've run it on my Droid and 2.1 is a pile of crap after you've run 2.2...

ok i was exaggerating but you know what i mean. and then people post threads like "OMFG im stuck" because they cant read a guide. then they get 2.2 and are like "WTF do i do now with 2.2?!?!?" like dont waste my time because you cant read

Yup people jsut don't take the time to read, double/triple/quadruple check things, etc. They don't understand the risk. I took the plunge and am loving thus far.
