Market issues

Hello,
Has anyone else been finding that when downloading or updating a a pp it just sits there saying downloading and nothing?
Some times it sits there for a long time and other times it actually downloads the app but doesn't acknowledge the completion and installation.

Is this normal or do I need to do something?

I have noticed it with a couple of updates lately - if it appears to be hung up, I stop it and then restart and it generally takes right off then...

Yes all sorts of problems with the market lately.

I find that it works better if you are using wifi. might want to try that for a bit.

Yep... when the market seems to be acting up while on 3G I switch to wi-fi and it takes right off.

I think it is going to get worse instead of better in the short run with all the android phones being sold lately. I think the market will have to update their servers in order to take care of the huge influx of new owners.

Probably true but why is my Droidx much better?
If it was a market issue wouldn't it effect both devices?

Never happened to me and I try about 5 new apps per-day on average.
