I live the battery life of icx but VorteX just runs smoother. It seems like icx doesn't have a following which sucks because there was and is a lot of potential. Any other roms? I liked miui but I like having hd back lol

Running CM7 at the moment. Really like this ROM. Smoothest I've found (switched to Launcher Pro), best battery life, best memory utilization, and everything works, far as I've found. Had a problem with WIFI connectivity for a bit, but that turned out to be caused by an app I had running... my fault.
I tried MIUI for a while... loved the theme-ability... great looking ROM. Loved the way my phone looked, loved some of the features, but found it a bit laggy, used a lot more memory than CM, and didn't give as good battery life.
Have APEX RC4 running on my wife's X. Fast, smooth, and bug free. More for someone who just wants smooth, fast, simple with no frills other than blur free Gingerbread. Great ROM as well.

Using "CameraZoom", rather than the CM and APEX camera... much much better.
Also have found LauncherPro to be the smoothest, fastest launcher... it sacrifices a few nice features of some of the newest launchers, but in return you get smooth and fast.

I don't feel any great need to jump into a new contract to get the Razr or Nexus in the near future, with both of our X's running so sweet.

Running VorteX RC1 now.
I have ran so many different roms I lost track lol. I ran MIUI for a good while but switched because I missed having hdmi support. "Gotta show the grandparents the vids and pics asap ya know" lol. Anyway I think i'll stay on this for a while it's fast smooth and the best battery life i've ever had. I was addicted to flashing roms until VorteX gave me the help I needed. LOL!
