yeah because the LTE spectrum has those safeguards built in.. and from my understanding the spectrum third generation uses doesnt otherwise 5 years ago an uproar would have been made just like one was made recently when the new spectrum grab and sell happened

About time. At least this issue is being brought to court. The fact is, VZW is in violation of FCC laws. Even if the court rules in VZW's favor, I'll have someone new to blame for their tethering block, hahahaha. Although the tethering block is clearly illegal, it is unlikely that we'll see any swift or decisive action from the fed. Negative publicity for VZW, however, is far more likely to yield results. To the FREE PRESS! Cheers!

+1. Vzw does not want to be associated with violating the fcc. I think they will stop blocking the tethering apps before to much bad publicity is brought to light.

Please, display the FCC reg verizon is violating? I mean a lot of people scream that same phrase, but so far no one has posted an actual reg, and any court decisions based on the reg.

I hope verizon wins, cause if they don't they will probably end up raising prices for all, so that those to cheap to pay get to conintue to tether against the agreement signed when they decided to pick verizon as their provider. And personally, I'm really tired of paying for other people either through verizion or my taxes.

So, if verison does not win, I wonder how many here will scream when the rates go up or service is throttled back.

Please Verizon, give me a tiered system....let everyone pay for what they use.

    From the article:
When Verizon purchased the spectrum licenses associated with its LTE network, it agreed that it would not “deny, limit, or restrict” the ability of its users to access the applications and devices of their choosing.
This does only apply to LTE.
