I hope verizon wins, cause if they don't they will probably end up raising prices for all, so that those to cheap to pay get to conintue to tether against the agreement signed when they decided to pick verizon as their provider. And personally, I'm really tired of paying for other people either through verizion or my taxes.

So, if verison does not win, I wonder how many here will scream when the rates go up or service is throttled back.

Please Verizon, give me a tiered system....let everyone pay for what they use.
Agreed saved me alot of typing. The way this goverenment is going it'll be hand outs for all unfortunately

Nice find and was interesting to read. Thanks.

Hopefully verizon will give up and just give us free tether which they should for the reason and fact we are paying for data plans and should be able to use it in other ways than just one. I mean $30bucks more a month and can't use its ability of what it can do unless paying extra plus the regular payments you have to. It is BS!

Look it Verizon knows exactly what there doing. I posted previously weeks before that Verizon has been breaking the law not just violating FCC regulation. As I posted action was going be taking against them which as you seen from this gentlemen post is the start to thing to come. The recently adapted cyberattack law Verizon has clearly this time been caught with the goods. As was reported in other post on the tether block even when using third party apps, most of you saw your browser open up stating in short hey were Verizon we know your tethering. That right there put them with the likes of hackers and the Chinese in which the Congress said they were trying to stop. Verizon willfully and knowingly hijacked your personal OS. The best part of this is they clearly violated artical 51 of the UN charter. Now the world will also file charges. What's some of you get tripping about is they took my tether what you should be telling about is you violated my privacy and maliciously hacked my system, I hope when the class action case comes which it is that each one of you jump on the ship and be part of the largest class action case against Verizon also in talks is the bait and switch tactics which again Verizon has been involved with. Those who say you signed the contract scheme. I only say this the contact is void if laws were broke to establish the contract. This are my expressed opinions and Verizon has the right to be judge in the court of law.

Lol. What? This is article 51:

Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain inter- national peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.

Good to see you can read,is what has been currently added to artical 51 which they use the language of computer attacks which the US just again this week has adopted as an act of war. Again cyberattacks please read the whole artical not just wiki. It further explains a pattern of attacks which is NOW being considered like the original Article as a personal attack to create harm to individuals.

Not just physical harm, you can further educate yourself from the pentigon position as an act of war. And yes I mean computer attacks.

    *sighhhh*

You didn't know? Having to pay for wireless tethering is a danger to the security of the human race... suing them is the only way to keep this world safe...

Figured I would say it sarcastically before someone said it and actually meant it...

But it seems that Article 51 there just states that nations have the right to defend themselves against attack from another nation until the point where the UN is able to come up with an agreement or method to restore and maintain peace. It doesn't really say anything about corporations "attacking" people. Unless I'm reading it wrong..............................

Maybe you should re read http://www.un.org/en/documents/charter/chapter7.shtml

cyber attacks not covered. Not even in the amendments

Edit: maybe this is what they are talking about

" Pentagon officials disclosed the decision to the Wall Street Journal, saying it was designed to send a warning to any hacker threatening US security by attacking its nuclear reactors, pipelines or public networks such as mass transport systems. "If you shut down our power grid, maybe we will put a missile down one of your smokestacks," an official said."

And to add clarity this is strictly a pentAgon strategy adapting U.N policy so not a U.N policy but something the U.S will use if you attack the above in quotes not if a company puts a redirect in your browser
