The crackberry I had before couldn't do much right, but it did predict and correct better. It also capitalized I, but the stock one one my X doesn't. I don't like swype yet so I don't know if it will or not. TIA.

smart keyboard pro is excellent, and it also has a longer spacebar.
+1 this keyboard is awesome...there is a free version to try before you purchase...

Check out the HTC IME keyboard that has been developed over several months at XDA. That's what I used on my Droid (and installing it again for my wife on hers). I am pretty happy with Swype on my X for now.
