    Display sucking up my battery.

The display consumes a huge chunk of battery power right? So if I keep my screen animations to a complete minimum and have as much black and white as possible will that save juice?

Im not sure that having different class colours has any effect on battery usage... isn't the majority of power consumed by the screen by the backlight? I could very well be wrong through. Regardless of that, the easy way to reduce battery usage by the display is to turn auto brightness off, and have it set as dim as you can use it with

Yup, some research confirms out. LCDs dont actually produce any light themselves. The pixels are just molecules aligned in different ways to produce different colours. So, black, white, red, or magenta... same power usage. If there is any difference at all, black would actually require more power to produce as it requires the activation of the liquid crystal molecules to obstruct the light

If you have a Live Wallpaper it will suck up alot more of your batter than if you had a regular wall paper, I also heard that the more widgets you have up will also make your battery go faster as well.

Using black on your background does not help with LCD screens, such as what the DX has. LCD screens use a single backlight to light the entire screen. Using black helps power consumption on AMOLED screens, where each LED is it's own backlight.

To conserve power, keep brightness at absolute minimum you need for viewing. Turn it completely off if you can see the screen. Other than that, the only thing that reduces the display's power consumption is...turning off the display when you don't need to use it.

The Widgets and Live Wallpaper that we all use on our phone..... IS....most of the Issues with Battery Live...But our Phones look Awesome... I really dont mine so much with my Battery Life...I Bought another Battery so I can Enjoy my Phone without B******* about my Battery Life all the time...Plus, I will take Performance and Looks over Battery Life any day...

Our usage for the way we all use Our Phone...Well, it would be one Hellva Big Battery to support what were all expecting from these Mini Computers...I have Two 3500 Batteries...If I can get 9 Hours with the 3500 Battery...Thats a good day for the way I use it and what I have going with Widgets and Misc stuff... IMO...

    Its Bubba
