I love my Droid but I think the keyboard is useless and I love the fact that the X has no keyboard and that big screen is awesome. I can't wait to get one.

Well... ive been using the Samsung Omnia since about September of last year. As soon as they said hey, your eligible for an upgrade around this date, and theres a great new phone coming out called the droid x. These 2 people, that i used to work with at chilis work at my verizon store, and they both informed me about this new phone. It was either going to be this, or the Apple iPhone.. (i dont usually take sides, but i still think its bull crap that they encrypt things you buy) Anyways, as soon as i found out the specs on that bad boy, the iphone was out of the question. Whoo

Been using a Motorola Q for the past 2 years and it's been a miserable experience... I've been counting down until my contract expiration (may 1st) since the second week I had that phone. May 1st got here and the hottest new thing on Verizon was the Incredible (I'm stuck on VZW in my family's share plan)... I came VERY close to pulling the trigger on that phone, but the night before I was going to the verizon store to trade up, the famous spy shots of the "Moto Shadow Found in Gym" popped up. Then the next morning I read two different articles stating that there had never been a better time to wait a month or two to see the new phones coming out, so I decided to hold out and see the X... glad I did!

I can't wait either. The reason I waited so long was because after I seen the Droid 1 it really does appear masculine , of course I was gonna doll it up and make it fit me, however, I didn't like any on the gold and that D-pad had to go. Essentially I was going to get the incredible because I heard about this phone beginning Jan but then as soon as it was about to drop I heard rumors about the Droid Shadow, now known to us as a Droid X, and knew it was going to be i helluva phone/mini laptop. Also, I am a tv fanatic, and that's the reason I have the voyager because of the mobile tv which I pay extra for so to have blockbuster and Hulu and some of the streaming video sites on the phone, we that just, let me say it, INCREDIBLE.

I've had the Droid since the beginning. I had the Incredible for a month. The X seems like the next logical step

Plus VZW bumped my upgrade. Not that I didn't have every intention to buy it at full price. Don't tell them that

I wanted the Droid but had just gotten(for some really dumb reason) the Blackberry Curve 8330 just before news hit about the Droid. I knew I would have to wait till my annual upgrade so I ignored all phones. Hubby used an upgrade and I looked at the Droid and decided it was way to bulky for me. Though I did convince my SIL and her hubby to get Droids. I then decided I wanted the Incredible after my nephew got one the first day. BUT I did not pay attention still cause my upgrade was not till the end of June. So in mid-june I started looking around and saw the horrible backup the Incredible had, decided to check on any news of upcoming devices and found out about the X. First it seemed to big.. Then the actual news came out about it. Verizon's release thing. I started to fall in love with it. I figured if I had to wait for the Incredible I my as well get the newest phone out there and get the X sooner!!! I have since decided I dont like the Inc and will be more then happy with the X!!! lol

i've been on the env2 since near it's launch..
Finally convinced mom that she wanted smartphones for me and her..she's wanted the iphone for a while but i showed her the droid, the kick ass accessories, and sent her a couple articles about att's reception and lo and behold, in a couple days i'll be the proud holder of a new droidx

This will be my first smartphone.... My sister first got me really into wanted the inc when she brought hers by a few weeks ago so i was telling my mom i wanted that... and she told me i would have to pay the $30 a month lol which was fine by me.. but i needed to earn some of the money first.. in my process of earning the money the droid X was announced and i heard about the back orders on the inc.. so i looked it up and started to learn about android and droid phones... looked up the X like crazy and grew to love it.. so I decided to go with it when it came out =)
