Improving Droid X indoor Photos

have had X for two weeks. Out door photo's and video's seem fine ,,, Indoor photos ( restaurants and home) seem not as sharp and even worse after being emailed to someone.
Does anyone have an idea what the optimum settings are to improve indoor photography.

Can you post an example? Are they dark? Low contrast? Blurry?

don't know how to post... but they are "not sharp" blurry is not descriptive as i have tried to stop any shaking....almost a bit grainy

Have you tried playing with the different "scenes" settings? Some of mine have improved after setting the scene to "night" for indoor shots. Overall...the camera is not as good as my previous non-smart phone, but video does seem crisp and so does the sound which is far better than my previous piece of jun...I mean phone

It'll be a combination of motion blur and poor high-ISO performance by all camera phones/point and shoot cameras. In very rough terms, you need to add more light to compensate for the graininess and a steady base for the motion blur. I suspect you're pushing the camera past what it's capable of. But, luckily there is a cheap and easy fix: Black and White! Grainy/blurry is crappy in color, but it's "art" in B&W. (Or sepia, cross processing, polaroid, etc.)

You may not have noticed but the Droid X comes preset at 6MP.... change it to 8 if you have not already done so...

I kinda like the full screen pictures. Other than the extra megapixels, are there other reasons why?

Nope... the resolution basically won't affect the quality of the picture. If image quality is bad, then it's bad. But with more MP, then at least you can print a poster sized grainy picture, lol.

i think its just something you have to work out the kinks on, even my nikon d90 takes crappy pics inside because of the settings i have on it for other stuff
