    transferring music

so i just got my droid x a couple of days ago, it is my first smartphone of any kind so i have a few questions i hope someone can help me with. I'm a big music lover and have tons of it on my computer, thing is it is all in my itunes. first off, does the droid support itunes (i'm thinking probably not) and if not how do i transfer my music to my phone. will i need to change the format of the music i want to transfer and then reformat it back to itunes. im not the most computer savy guy when it comes to this stuff so any help, the more detailed the better will be great.

    thanks

You can look at a software called iSyncr - it will sync your playlists from iTunes onto your phone to be used by a music player of your choice...

I'm not an iTunes user, but I've seen the program "double twist" which is a player and supposed to allow for easy transfer/sync of iTunes music and playlists. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, so I apologize in advance if I've missed the boat.

I've used doubleTwist and iSyncr. The latter is much faster in syncing iTunes than doubleTwist.

will this iSyncr allow you to simply add/remove music files i.e., ones not in a playlist?

FYI, windows media player will sync music to your phone. seems a lot more polished than doubletwist.

on a side not, will any of these programs add an album to my phone and let me play it in the correct order. all albums that i've added are listed alphabetically... thanks. !

You can also use iTunes agent, which might be up your alley if you want to stay in iTunes:
