Anyone get OTA 4.5.588??

To the OP if you don't get the OTA and you haven't done anything to your phone you should just be able to go to VZW and they should give it to you.

Yes, it is 'supposed' to be .596...With the delay however, perhaps they will take it to .600...

I never received any ota updates after .588. after the install of the .588 update, i've been manually checking for updates every oher day and it's said no updates available ever since the update.

IDK why you would receive one update but not the others, sorry. Back to Froyo for you I guess...

That's still where I get puzzled. Why would they (VZ/Moto) leave users stranded with an update that renders the phone unable to receive anything else OTA? Since I like .588 better than froyo, I'll just use it until I see an official announcement from VZW and the forums explode with users saying VZ has officially released the update. If I get it, and I would think I would, great. If not, SBF, like you said.

Wish I had the answer for you. You are the only one that I have seen to get the .588 OTA, but report not getting the others...

Mike has the most current info, like he said, the OTA will be .596, but things have been known to change, and you will need top be on stock Froyo to get it.

I've been in contact with both P3 and his source, the secret NINJA, and I know the .588 OTA was a test release sent to beta testers, and a few others by mistake.
Since this .588 release was, in reality sent only to beta testers, there should be no actual Vz customers on GB, therefore Vz will only upgrade its stock Froyo users with GB .596 OTA. Other arrangements have been made for the beta testers, bringing them to .596 to get them back on the Vz consumer track. This is also how we know that gingerbreak will NOT work on 596.

Again, sources indicate only stock Froyo will be able to utilize the OTA update

First thing, stop checking. We will make announcements when it's officially rolling out when we have firm info. The DX2 is coming out this week from VZW and it's loaded with Froyo 2.2.2, so best guess is that they will roll-out the update to the DX2 first, then the DX. So by mid-June would be my guess...

No one knows, not even me LOL. 2 or 3 rumored dates have already passed. Theory now is it won't come in the next couple weeks cause the X2 is launching without GB
