Cliffs-
First battery life was poor, so I went to VZ store to get it replaced.
Battery got replaced there, but the store attendant had already opened the "new battery packet" before he came out, so there's a possibility he just cycled the previous complainant's battery to me.
I ran the "new" battery to the ground, then recharged twice in a row as recommended here and there online.
I have stripped my phone of most widgets and ALL social networking accounts. I have also tweaked the phone settings to yield the least power utilization possible. I feel like I've pretty much crippled the phone almost to a halt so only the bare minimum apps are constantly running.
For example, check out my home screen. I'm running adw to reduce screen count from 7 to 2. My 2 screens are as follows:

My Email delivery settings. I have 1 gmail account and one exchange account for work.

My Battery Profile

I have no weather, time or other widgets running. Definitely nothing that needs updating except for my Calendar appointments widget, yet my battery drains from 100% to 10% in within 10 hrs of moderate use. By moderate use, I mean NO GPS, NO WiFi, little browsing, 30mins of talk-time, etc...
The only explanation I can come up with is this guy here... "Mediaserver". I just installed OSMonitor last night and noticed today that I've had Mediaserver running in the background using up to 98% CPU at times and fluctuating at an average of 85% for hours on end. I can't kill or stop this process for naught.

Apart from replacing the battery, does anyone have any other ideas why this could be happening? I'm heading to Verizon later today to get a brand new battery replaced and this time, I'm asking them to let me watch while they open the package. My patience is wearing out...
