How do you move apps, etc. from old Droid-X to new Droid-X?

My Droid-X has been doing strange things lately so today Verizon is sending me a new warranty replacement Droid-X.

I have about 25 free and paid apps installed with all the settings set to my liking. The SD card also has data stored from my exoScribe notepad pad other apps that store data on the SD card.

When I get the new phone probably tomorrow is there any way to easily migrate the apps from the old phone to the new phone? I am sure there is not but it is worth asking the question.

I am now going through my phone and writing down all of the free or purchased apps that I have gotten from the Market so I will know which apps I need to download again - what a hassle.

Is there an app manager that I can install before the new phone arrives that will make the move from the old phone to the new phone easier?

If I have already purchased an app from the Market and I want to download it to the new phone does the Market automatically know that I have already purchased it? I hope I don't have to re-buy the same app for the new phone.

I would appreciate any ideas or thoughts on making the move from the old Droid-X to the new Droid-X.

These smartphones are just like a computer - when you change machines or start over again you have to reload and re-configure everything.

    Thanks.

Use Titanium Pro or MyBackUp Pro and back up all of your apps and app data to your sd card. Then when you get your new X reinstall whichever one you used and chose restore.

Titanium Backup can only be used if you are rooted while MyBackupPro can be used for rooted or unrooted...

If you make sure that you are backed up thru Google as well (doublecheck thru phone settings - privacy - make sure both boxes are checked), your paid and free apps will redownload themselves once you setup your phone with the gMail account you are currently using.

    Good luck!

also, download Download AppBrain App Market for your Android phone on AppBrain and create an account on AppBrain Android Market - Download the best Android Apps and Games as well (use your google email account for this). it's a web based market that is loosely tied to the android market, but it's definitely a good way to sync your app list and keep it handy

if you use any 3rd party launcher as well, check the options for it, there should be a way to backup/restore your launcher settings, i know for sure ADW has this feature. this will help reduce time/effort in setting up your home screens again

When I to hard reset mine all I did is opened Android Market and it downloaded the ones I was missing. I just went to My Apps. don't know if that works for switching phones though.
