It Works!
I was one of those people who got sent the X last week by mistake (I called to order the Incredible, was offered the X and it shipped the same day). I tried activating it then and failed despite two hours with tech support supervisors. But today, thanks to a post on this forum, I tried again and it activated immediately.
It's hard to give first impressions because I'm new to Droids, in fact I'm new to smartphones (my last phone was a four year old Samsung flip phone), so everything is new. But the screen really is incredibly large and video is crisp and clear, and I love that is syncs perfectly with Google and Fecebook so all my contracts are sitting there without me needing to input them. I'm just playing with some of the other stuff trying to get use to the interface and customize the home screens.
This may not be the right thread, but as a new Droid user, any suggestions on the first things you will do to your X when it arrives -- settings changes, app downloads, customization -- would be very helpful.

Maybe for someone how is used to the interface, but I'm still struggling to shift stuff around on the home screens, and find the apps that I want. I guess it will come with time.
