    LTE priced higher?

Why does it seem that everyone is assuming the price of LTE will be higher than 3G?

Has Verizon put out word that it will be higher?

It is the same price to use an LTE USB device or a 3G Hotspot, so why would the assumption be that LTE will be higher on the phones...actually, knowing this, shouldn't the general assumption be that the prices would be the same?

Besides, wouldn't higher prices, on data, persuade more people (a lot more people) to stay with 3G?

Is the thought that you can use more data in the same amount of time and therefore, you will use more data? I don't really see me using more data, but rather getting the information I am looking for quicker, or less buffering on a video (minus the buffering, the video will still be the same amount of data and take just as long to actually watch).

I am not being sarcastic or anything; I truly would like to know if someone knows for sure that the service will be higher. If so, I will be sticking with 3G for now...been very satisfied and happy with it, and besides, I can get wifi so many places, LTE isn't that big of a deal to me, personally.

I've actually heard that 4g is actually cheaper for Verizon to use than 3g. So I would assume that the prices for the customer would be cheaper or at least the same.

Verizons 3G used to 59.99 for 5GB. When the Ipad came on the scene the day it was sold 3G netbook and mobile hotspot prices came down to $50 for 5GB and they added 10GB for $80 and $10 per GB after that. 4G is the same as the netbook and the mobile hotspots now. If you still have the 3G USB card than the only plan for that still is $59.99 for 5GB.

I think they will keep the prices the same question is will they cap the data. For most 4G is not an option for some time. When it is will you have the option of 4G or 3G? Doubt it. What you guys think?

You can burn 5Gb in 31 minutes on 4G. I think they will keep a cap. I am not sure it will be 5GB but it almost seems like it would have to be capped.

It will have to be capped to try to prevent people from replacing their home internet connection with LTE, which would be an excellent proposition for people who live alone. It's faster than a lot of people's wired internet connection.

Nope, just like you can't buy a new 1G or 2G smartphone anymore...

Once it all goes 4G, you will have no choice in the matter, if you want a new smartphone.

I also think they will keep the pricing similar (eventually, maybe not at first), as that is largely determined by what consumers are willing to pay. But I also think there will be a cap to prevent overusage, similar to the hotspots.
