So I'm eight days away from my DX purchase. (My wife now wants one so it's now TWO DX's!) I was reading on verizon's site that the X comes with 2.1. I thought I'd heard it was running 2.2. What gives?

Wait until March. I heard the Moto Bionic is coming out for Verizon then. Just a rumor for right now, but Motorola has already started building hype and that is a good sign. Check it out on there web page.

@crash_override, I'd wait but I've waited too long. I can't stand another day more than I absolutely have to with this blackberry piece of dogs**t! A week from tomorrow I will be happily getting my hands on the X!

Might be that they're still selling them pre-loaded with 2.1 but once you turn the phone on, you should be able to update it right away to 2.2 OTA. Droid Bionic sounds good, but no word on pricing yet on either the phone or for 4g LTE which will undoubtedly be higher.

They X or X's you buy will be loaded with 2.2 for sure as mine was it might be loaded now with 2.2.1 which is the last update we all just had.
