Can I just sell my upgrade?
I am eligible to upgrade at a discount on Verizon. I was wondering if I can just do the upgrade and sell it as new? I have an X and love it, but they are selling on Ebay for near $400 new and I can upgrade for $199, putting near $200 in my pocket. Can I do this? What would be the drawback if I do?

Once you buy it you can do what you want with it. Many people did that last year with the Incredible since it was so in demand. But why waste your upgrade now??? You may want it when something new comes out and then you have to pay full retail.
If you are happy with the X and don't really see a need to upgrade this year...and you can pocket $200 in the process...go for it.
If, however, you crave the latest, you may want to hold off a few months and pick up a 4G phone for $200....then sell your current X for probably $200.
Either way, you'll break about even (because you will eventually invest that $200 you made in a future phone), but the second way, you have an (hopefully) improved product.
