App that Records Phone Calls - and actually works for Droid X

I REALLY need an app to record calls (yes, it is legal in my state). I have searched this forum and read other people's requests, but most responses were people quickly dismissing the requester and sending them to AppBrain. Yes... there are apps that do this, but I'm trying to find one that works for the Droid X.

So, my modified way of asking is "Does anyone 'personally' know of an app that works with the Droid X". ie. have you used an app that records BOTH sides of the conversation AND is able to playback on the Droid X.

I have tried a few and read reviews on a lot, but so far have been unsuccessful in finding one that works.

    Thanks!

This was just brought up last week. Those apps are all over the market. I've used a couple of them on my X. I just deleted them, because they all kept recording ALL of my calls.

FYI, call recording is legal in all 50 states. Tons of case law on it. As long as one person (you) on the recorded conversation knows about it, then it's legal.

I was gonna say... then where are the 1-800 numbers I can call for people who live in states where it's illegal... would love to get to an operator without that f-cking 20 second message about recording the call for training or quality assurance.

I saw your previous post, but it didn't mention which program(s) you specifically used. Could you let me know what worked... and recorded your voice and the other persons voice.... and recorded in a format that plays on the droid x?

I just looked in the market, and can't find it. Didn't look real hard, but it was there not long ago. One thing I didn't like about it though, is it saved the recordings on a server somewhere. Kinda creeped me out, knowing someone else could listen in if they wanted.

Ya, I need to find a APP, that does it all locally on the phone, not a service. If anyone has successfully used such an app... PLEASE let me know!

<sigh> This is why I started off by saying I have already searched.... and previous posts on this board all tell people to just go search. I HAVE searched. I was hoping for input from someone that has successfully used an app for their Droid X that allows them to record both sides of the conversation w/out using speaker phone.

As an update... from other posts I've read.. one being on a Motorola support page... it sounds like this capability seems to be beyond the Droid X's capabilities. I'm not stating that definitively... but sure sounds like it it. It's sort of sad.. the last two Windows phones I had were able to do it w/out a problem. Here is one of the threads I was reading regarding the issue.

I'm also looking for an app that will record calls. I need it for my business.

Until I can find something, I guess I'll just have to keep using my digital recorder and headset. It's just a pain in the butt to carry around all that hardware.
