I hate the Droid X OMG

So I just order a replacement phone because my old phone had some stuck pixels but mainly because my maps doesnt work. WELL GUESS WHAT IT STILL DOSENT. I have done everything when I try to login in Google maps and accept permissions if I type my main account for gmail in it says that account already exsits. I also when I loaded gummyjar 2.5 it loaded up with an old background the same one its not even on my memory card..... Maybe its a virus or something I dont know but if I dont fix this cant wait for the iphone..... Why so much trouble with the gps searching and everything

when loading gummy jar did you use the same download of the .zip you did on your old phone?

Lol lol. Most roms come with their own wallpapers. When you load it up the wallpaper will change. Its Not a virus......

That's the risk involved when flashing a rom, after all non of the devs ever say anything works 100%, hence why they state they are bot responsible for anything that happens.


Now how about asking a question or two so we can help.

umm well the question is why cant I change the wall paper why does the same wall paper that happen on the other phone stay on when i flash gummy, why does my gps not work on either phones umm i prob can think of more

gummy has a default wall paper that it defaults to when the ROM is applied that is why you have the same wallpaper

long press the screen to change it

its rare two phones in a row are having GPS issues

are you trying the GPS outside???

if your trying it indoors with a roof over your head thats most likely the issue

If you're having the same problems on separate phones, it's probably not the phone...

Do you have "backup my data" and "automatic restore" set in settings > privacy? Most likely that's why you keep getting the same wallpaper and quite possibly Google is restoring some app that's interfering with gps. Backup your contacts, calendar, and apps then unselect those two boxes. Create a backup, wipe data, wipe cache, and flash a fresh rom. You will need to manually restore your contacts and calendar but DON'T restore apps. Test gps first, then slowly begin downloading your apps from the market until you figure out what was conflicting with gps.
