Stop Auto Application Restore???

Oh my goodness, I'm so sick of every single time I flash a new Rom, as soon as I get booted up my Apps start trying to restore.
I have like 300 apps, wtf! It never works, and never finishes. I end up having to click every app & cancel!
I understand they don't expect people to be rooted & flashing new Roms, but omg, I could scream lol.

I just want to use Titanium to restore.
Someone please tell me how to stop this.....

when you touch the green manually sync your phone skip everything then go into settings sync yada yada yada get it

I do Skip. I skip setup of google.account.
I then hit continue before the sync icon starts in the notification bar. But it starts anyways.
U saying to go into settings and turn off data sync?

Go to setting, application, manage applications, scroll down to market click on it, click force stop and it will stop downloading so you can use TiBackup to restore.

I just meant skip all account setups and then nothing will install till you let it.....
