Do i Need a screen protector
Hi guys i'm an original Motorola Droid owner and I have never used a screen protector before and never got any whats so ever on my Motorola Droid screen. After seeing the scratch tests on youtube videos with keys etc I realized that I did not need one.
How is the Droid X's screen compared to the Motorola Droid? Is it the same exact materila, weaker, stronger or what? Anyone have any info?
If I need a screen protector then what screen protectors do you guys recommend I go with?

i would..it's only $12 or so. i highly recommend steinheil crystal clear (it's ultra crystal clear now). it feels like glass not like zagg or invisible shield which is not smooth when you glide your fingers.
Mach330 took the words out of my mouth. First of all you really should get screen protectors even if they're the cheap ones on ebay. I personally bought cheap 2 dollar ones while my stienheil's are in the mail. I would have some kind of protection even if it's a cheap screen protector.
I don't use one, but that is the risk I take. Don't be deceived into thinking these screens cannot scratch - they can, though it is unlikely. The bigger concern for me, is scratching the body (which is rather common), so I will be using a silicon case.
After I saw how scratched up my nephew's first gen Droid's screen was, I put one on immediately. I just didn't want to risk it.
One of the stories I read on these forums scared me into purchasing the steinheil ultra clears, which have worked quite well. It doesn't hurt.

Awesome!!! Thanks for the 411. That is the exact reason why i hate screen protectors, because it takes away the glass feeling when you use your fingers to navigate through the phone. I like what you said about how high quality it is and still feels like glass, that is exactly what I wanted to hear. THANK YOU!!!!

I just bought a zagg that is in the mail. Hopefully its a good protector without making it hard to slide my figners.
