Impressed with the durability of the DX even with a cracked screen

My dx is the best phone I've ever owned. I dropped my dx a while back (broke the screen) still works perfectly, aside from the cracked screen. Thanksgiving I dropped my phone in a parking lot in the rainy weather. It was a good 30 mins before I realized it. It was still on, did a battery pull and let it sit for a couple hours. No moisture was under the screen (yes the tab changed to red indicating water contact). Looked dry so I powered it up (need a replacement anyway), still work'n like a champ.

Amazing build quality. Great operating system. Expanding marketplace. Great Carrier. All things considered, I'm glad I chose the DX over the iPhone.

Sorry about your phone mishap. I do agree with you on how amazing this phone is. You definitely made the right choice getting the X over the iphone.

That sucks your screen cracked. Are you sure that tab isn't supposed to have a red X in it? I have 2 DX's here that I know never had any contact with any moisture, and they both have red X's there.

Ya i think it turns all red when there's moisture contact. Anyway, I agree, this phone is a beast compared to the icantphone.

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking, solid design, I can't see why people prefer the plasticy designs made popular by other units.

I agree with you. Motorola did a really good job making the X. I posted a thread a few weeks ago about how I bent my when I was in an accident and it still worked perfectly. Amazing built quality.

Yes, the X held up better than the leg... ....seriously, how ya healing up?

Lol. Its doing better. I went to the doctors on monday for a post-op check up. Got my 12 staples removed and took a couple x-ray pictures. The doctor told me that I have to stay of my leg for one more month. Here's a pic of my newest x-ray.

When I pulled out my phone to take a picture of the x-ray the doctor told me that my phone is huge, lol. I saw that he had the Droid Incredible.

Wow - you can still see the break on the tibia - does he think this will fuse more (maybe the reason for no weight bearing yet)...LOL on the size of the phone - seems that was also discussed in a thread haha...
