Good Verizon Store in DC Metro Area?

Guys-

I've been the happy owner of a Droid 1 for over a year, and then a few days ago upgraded to a Droid X.

I've been having some problems with charging, right now, it locks up at 80%, requiring a battery pull.

I seem to have sorted out my other issues with a factory reset, but this is something I won't be able to deal with.

I went to 2 verizon stores in my area today. One refused to admit that anything was wrong with the phone, and the other one suggested that I root it to fix the issues.

Neither of those are really acceptable options for me, so I'm looking for recommendations? live in DC metro/maryland? Know a good store? Or should I just take it up with the phone customer service?

I have had good experiences in the Verizon kiosk in the Waldor BJ's and the Prince Frederick Verizon store.

They are all idiots. But I have gotten some assistance, on rare occasions, at either Fair Oaks Mall or the store in Fairfax at the intersection of Rts 50 and 236.

thanks guys, i actually sorted it out on my own using Fabian's clean install of 2.2.

But I will definitely hit up one of those stores if I need anything in the future.

I live in fairfax city in va and of the 3 verizon stores in a 10 mile radius they suck. One at fairoaks mall takes forever to get helped and also the one in fairfax city sucks my dad got thrown out for making a scene because he sat their for 30 min waiting. I would suggest reaserchiing online maybey find a help desk from motorolla or even the verizon one. Hope your phone gets fixed

well, the clean update didn't do it, so i'm going to try and do a 2.2 sbf install. it is still locking up on an overnight charge. do you think that's a hardware issue?
