Acquired Droid X recently, Tried hard to complete the email settings for my university email system. The settings all seem fine. But the device will not accept them. Any suggestions? Do we have to upload Touchdown software and such to have university email connections on Droid X?

K9 or Touchdown is a better option IMHO.

How are people managing the touchdown licenses from Moto? I've used K-9, maildroid, the built in email. and nothing works quite right with my work email.

What is the email system you are trying to connect to? Is it MS Exchange, Lotus Notes or something different all together?
It's a state university e-mail server.
