What does .602 / .605 mean?
I've been reading the terms .602 or .605 in the forums lately, and I'm just wondering what does mean? I'm assuming it has to do with the SBF files that are used to restore your phone, like in the following website I notice the latest flasher ends with .602...

Am I correct in assuming this? I keep reading things like 'will work on .605 but not .602...' etc etc. The reason I ask is because Liberty 3 is coming out very soon, and I want to know if I need to prepare and sbf to an updated (or outdated) version to run it, in case I see something like 'Must have .605...'. Currently I am running whatever was on this site:
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/03/29/how-to-root-gingerbread-on-droid-x/
Which is basically 2.3.3 but rooted or something. I think I will go ahead and go back to 2.2.1 just in case I ever need to restore to factory settings. So what does .602 / .605 mean, and will L3 require one?

602 and 605 are versions of gingerbread 605 just has a minor bug fix. Liquid 3 will work on both. I've tried it.

Oh my gosh Haha I'm so dumb sometimes..
I'm running liquid right now that's why it jumped to my mind.
But I've tried liberty from 605 not 602 but I almost promise it will work because the only difference between the two versions is a simple keyboard fix.

Ohhh okay. The reason I ask is because I've sbf'ed / rommed a bunch of times, and I notice that whenever I 'restore to factory settings' it goes back to whatever was the last sbf file I flashed. I'm planning on sticking with Liberty 3 once it comes out, but I want my 'factory settings' to either be 2.2.1 or 2.3.3... so it doesn't matter which I sbf? I have no problems rooting with 2.2.1, so if I did that, I'd like it more than 2.3.3... just in case a bug happens with L3 or something, then I could just restore to factory settings and use 2.2.1 for a few days. Or should I just stick to 2.3.3?

2.2.1 is called froyo it has a different kernel than 2.3.3 so if you flash liberty 3.0 while on 2.2.1 you will be soft bricked.
You need to flash the gingerbread 2.3.3 and version number. 602 because 605 has not been released.
Also liberty 3.0 is out and one of my favorites

Oh woww! I've heard the term 'Froyo' so many times I didn't even know that's what it was! Thanks! What does soft bricked mean? Okay then I will SBF back to 2.3.3. I have it right now but it's from that weird website and it's kind of weird, it is supposed to be 2.3.3. but it looks a little different. I will just go back to un-rooted 2.3.3 then, and wait for L3. Thanks so much!
Also, does it matter which sbf zip file I download? I see:
Android 2.3.3 System Version 4.5.596
and
Android 2.3.3 System Version 4.5.602
on that SBF site. I am going to use .602 because it's what I have and already used before, that's the right / latest one, correct?
