    Waterlogged almost two years ago

I had a droid 2 r2d2 and it slipped into the toilet in October 2011 (clean water, thankfully). I did not have rice or any of this repair knowledge and i had to head to class so it was pretty much done-for. I’ve held on to it and from time to time i’ve tried charging it, just for shiggles, and every time it never got anywhere. This time, the charging indicator (little white light next to the port) is illuminated and after a short while, it made some r2d2 sounds. Nothing on the display that I saw. There was a red led blinking periodically in the right corner. When I held the power button for a while, there was another r2d2 sound which, if I remember correctly, is the powering down sound. I do remember once, a long time ago when I tried turning it on, the display came up all white with a couple lines and then black again.

I plugged it in one more time and this time it did the same, with the powering up sounds and blinking red led. Still no display. I know this means the display is screwed but I was wondering if you’ve seen anything like it, even so long after being dropped in water, and if you might have some kind of miracle solution.

edit: After I heard the power up sounds and saw the red blinking led, i looked at the screen and I could see the time, not the correct time, very very faintly.
