Migrating contacts from "Phone" (BackUp Assistant), to Google Contacts

Have seen this question brought up a lot... primarily from people who lose their contacts when they go to a ROM that does not have BackUp Assistant.

The Easy solution, is to get your contacts from the MyVerizon page on VerizonWireless.com website, and sync them into Google Contacts.

From MyVerizon (Cell Phones, Cell Phone Plans, 4G LTE network with the Best Cell Phone Service - Verizon Wireless, MyVerizon link on top right):
    --Messaging> Contacts at the top:
    --Select All (Top Right)
--From the drop down (to the right of select all), choose Export Contacts
    --Save as a .csv file.

Then import on into google Contacts...
    --Open Gmail
    --Contacts link (top left)
--from menu on left, choose "Import Contacts", browse to file

IF you have a bunch of duplicate contacts, Google Contacts even has the ability to MERGE contacts...
    --From Gmail, go to Contacts
--More actions button on top of contacts list
    --Choose "Find and Merge Contacts
--Check the duplicate contacts you'd like to merge
When complete, double check the contact info.

    Hope this helps! Enjoy!

Edit: Looks like they changed the interface a little.. messaging then contacts to get to the contacts page... steps updated.

That helped quite a bit. I wasn't too concerned about the apps, i can sink with appbrain and redownload the apps i need and pretty much do the same thing with the market. It was my phone book that i was most worried about as i have 100+ numbers and a lot of them are customers but now problem solved so thank you very much.

    Additional info:
For those ROMs that don't even include BUA.. this is a recommended method to make sure you can get all of your contacts back after installing a new ROM!

    Deleted Contacts recovery HTC DNA

I was able to find all my deleted contacts after I accidentally deleted them on my HTC DNA.

IF YOU DID NOT HAVE BACKUP ASSISTANT IN USE, THIS WON'T WORK. MINE WAS ALREADY SET UP FOR AUTO SYNC

    1) Register at my verizon dot com (it will ask you to enter yahoo or outlook address)
    2)Select: Manage My Contacts
    2)Droid DNA.jpg
3)On the top, select the TRASH tab
    DNA Trash.JPG
4)Check the select all box on top left
5)Select Undelete (Red tab on top right)
6)Select SYNC (Red tab on top right)
7)You will have to sync your phone - Go to
    *Settings
    *Backup Assistant Plus
    *Contacts settings
    *Menu
    *Sync Now
