Help I've lost ClockWork recovery, my phone just reboots back into android
I see this issue a lot, so I wanted to post something to the FAQ thread, as, at least in the ROMs forum, it's an FAQ.
If when trying to load something from ROM Manager, or when doing a Reboot Recovery from Droid X Bootstrapper, and you boot right past recovery back to your home screen, then one of two simple fixes usually will get you back up and running:
1) Reset your recovery-
--From Droid X Bootstraper app, press the "Bootstrap Recovery" button (even if you've done this before, sometimes it just needs to be reset).
--From ROM Manager, Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.
Now try what you were doing again. If it still doesn't go into recovery, try:
2) Reinstall Droid X Bootstrapper and ROM Manager
--go to Menu> Settings> Applications> Manager Applications> All tab> Droid X Bootstrapper
--Clear cache, Clear data, Force stop, and uninstall
--back to Menu> Settings> Applications> Manager Applications> All tab> ROM Manager
--Clear cache, Clear data, Force stop, and uninstall
--Reboot
--Reinstall both Droid X Bootstrapper and ROM Manager
--From Droid X Bootstraper app, press the "Bootstrap Recovery" button.
--From ROM Manager, Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.
Give it another try.
This has solved lots of problems with not being able to boot into recovery recently.
Hope this helps!

Wow thank you I will try that! This happened after flashing Rubix 1.0 but uninstalling and clearing cache somehow did it for me last time just not after 1.6 for some reason. Will let people know if it works.
UPDATE: This method is the only one that actually WORKS! Go ahead and try it.

What happens when you open Droid X Bootstrapper, press Bootstrap recovery, and then Reboot Recovery. ?
(Note: ROM Manager just uses the Droid X Bootstrapper app to get to recovery, so let's first eliminate it from the equation.... and just worry about getting into recovery, which only really requires Droid X Bootstrapper)...
Let me know what happens.

I just started the root a while ago. Installed bootstrapper and made a recovery. I rebooted and all kinda of things are wrong. Recovers to droid menu. Everything on the phone is wiped.
I followed this - http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-hacks/122025-how-use-droid-x-bootstrap.html
Now I am trying to restore all my info. The restore gets hung up on
Checking MD5 sums...

And I have to pull the battery. Am I screwed?
Also, when I do restore it, things are screwed up. Most apps do not work and for some reason, google does not recognize my password to the one I originally attributed the phone with.
