    Amazon.com: Jabra C220 Stereo Earbuds - 2.5mm: Cell Phones & Service
The pair on Amazon that you referenced are 2.5 mm, the wrong size plug. Droid X has a 3.5 mm jack. If you used a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm adaptor, the C220 Earbuds could work, but who wants to use an adapter?

Maybe there is a 3.5 mm model similar to the C220 that you used on your Droid X and that you intended to reference the 3.5 mm model?

+1 for the Bose Mobile In-Ear set....not really ear buds seeing as you don't shove them in your ear, they just set inside, much more comfortable

They were 29.95 when i purchased them but even at the current price i would probably buy another set. Very good sound quality (compared to an even pricier set i have) and it does have a mic and a button on the cord.
Does the button actually work? Of the two reviews on amazon containing "droid x", one of them says they are not compatible with the droid x.

I am still unclear from this thread which headphones have good sound quality, include a mic of good quality which works and includes a button for basic controls that works FOR the droid x specifically. Suggestions??

They basically don't exist...Apple's products within the past couple of years have been made with a standard TRRS 3.5mm headphone jack connector, except they purposely switched the mic and ground parts around, and since everyone owns a damn iPod, the manufacturers followed suit making headphones/ear buds with volume, track control, etc. that only work properly with these Apple products because Apple is a douche of a company.

I use the Bose MIE2 headphones, it just has a mic button, and one click does play/pause, two clicks does next track and three clicks does previous track for most music players on Android phones, and that's good enough for me, since it...has to be.

I got a pair of Wicked brand in ear headphones with built in mic at Verizon for $30. They sound great and give good bass response.
