Free MP3 Downloads and Virus Concerns
I have never downloaded free mp3's on my computer, because I assumed they were infested with (at least) malware, not to mention viruses. Is this a legitimate concern with phones, and if so, is there anti-virus apps? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I am new to smartphones.

There are no confirmed viruses for Android. Is an app needed? IMHO No....
All Virus apps that I have tried slow the device down alot....
Are you downloading them directly to the X or to your PC first?

Try Lookout. It is a firewall/virus scanner for your phone. It scans every app that is downloaded before installing it. Its automatic so you dont even need to remember. You can also set a scan every week just incase

The only real concern with viruses on Android (as of now) is you could conceivably get a virus onto your Droid and transfer it to your PC via mounting USB.
So far nothing confirmed on the Android platform itself.

Mp3 download says you can only download public domain stuff but everything on there is from celebs and nothing specifies whether it is copyright or public domain. Why is there copyrighted stuff on it?
