Gonna Try Handbrake - What's The Best Video Bitrate For droid X?

I'm planning on trying my hand at converting some movies for my DX. Handbrake has been recommended throughout a few other forums that I frequent. Is there something better? I am planning on using H.264 or DivX. I am also wondering what the best bitrate is going to be when I start encoding. Time is not a factor but quality is everything.

I set mine to 1500 and it looks and plays great.

I use an older version of Handbrake (0.9.3) that lets me put in 854 in the first box and then I just leave the second box blank. That's how I read to do it, let the software decide the other number. It is usually different between movies but they all turn out to look the way they were intended. I'm not sure if the new version lets you do this or not.

Thanks for the info.I'll have to give it a try this weekend and see how things turn out. I've never used Handbrake but I can't imagine it to be too hard.
