Gtalk group chat interest......

How interested would you guys be in getting google to add group chat on Gtalk for our phones and for those on other platforms? Would you sign a petition?

Lets face it, I came from blackberry and loved BBM,. Ive got many friends that have blackberrys still and some with iphones. When we plan to go out or throw a party we either have to call, send an email or do mass chains of text. On top of that at work we used to use BBM to stay on top of things. Group chat made it easier.

What does the android community say?

And yea im aware of the apps like Ping, Kik, Hello! and a few others that are cross platform but to date non allow group chat except for Hello! but they have been stuck on the Beta for blackberry all summer. Every time they post on twitter its always the same "final blackberry beta released today, offical app next week". I lost faith in them.

I think the "group chat" function would be a huge asset to gTalk...

Yea youd think if you read 10 froyo threads already, you can skip the other 50 lol. Any chance of this getting a sticky to build intrest?

I never realized gTalk didn't have a 'group' setting.
