So I am trying to get this on my new phone - and when I hit "buy" it takes me to "Add Google Account" even though I already have my phone linked up with the only Google account I have. Anybody know what's up with this? Thanks!

So I am trying to get this on my new phone - and when I hit "buy" it takes me to "Add Google Account" even though I already have my phone linked up with the only Google account I have. Anybody know what's up with this? Thanks!

You may need to log into google checkout thru your computer to set up your account and add your credit card info...

Make sure you link your primary google account with google checkout. See checkout.google.com. Once this is complete market is a breeze

They are linked, as far as I can tell - my Google accounts page shows "Checkout" at the bottom. Maybe I should turn off and restart my phone? It's still doing it, just making me sign in over and over again.

Aww lame! This part was supposed to be the easy part now that the hard part of getting the phone is over with!
They patched me over to Motorola customer service and it took so long I ended up hanging up. For some reason it's not reading that I have Google Checkout on my account or something; I click "Buy" on the app screen and it asks me to put in my Google account info. I do, which is the same info I used when I activated the phone, and when I click "sign in" or whatever it takes me back to the app screen that says "Buy." Which I then click, and start the process all over again. Bahhhh!Aww lame! This part was supposed to be the easy part now that the hard part of getting the phone is over with!

Very odd. My fiance has an issue with purchasing Beautiful Widgets as well. For her though she gets to punch in a credit card, and click Accept to buy or whatever at the bottom, and it gives her some funky error. We know we're punching everything in 100% right, it just won't go through.
Probably not the same issue but found it odd that it was a purchasing problem with the same App.
Have you tried buying a different app to see what happens?
Yup, I tried Weather and Toggle Widget instead and it did the same thing. I don't get it.
