Set cpu max and min settings

Will maxing the cpu to 1000 max and 1000 min kill the battery?

Does anyone know what the default max and min cpu speed is on the X?

No real reason except "why not?"

I would think this would increase performance and decrease any lag

No your CPU will go to 1Ghz when it needs to near instantaneously. Actually if my screen is not on I have it set not let it go above 600 and it locked it at 600 once the battery goes < 30%. I would rather be able to take a call then have a speedy phone. But thats me.

From what I've been reading, changing the speed of the cpu does not affect battery life because the voltage that powers the cpu remain the same.

We would have to under clock the voltage somehow in order to battery improvement. There's ways to do this but the process is not for the faint of heart.
