Boot manager won't boot a sd Rom
OK sorry if this is already asked some where else but I couldn't find anything on this at all and I need/really want help. On my Droid X I am running MIUI 1.10.21 and that is setup as my phoneRom. Ever since I got boot manager a month or two ago, I haven't got it to boot a sd Rom no matter if it is a nandroid backup or an actual Rom such as cyanogenMod. When I try and boot one of these sd Roms my phone turns off and gets stuck on the red Motorola logo for longer than 5 minutes and I end up flashing the update.zip in the boot manager folder in recovery to restore my phoneRom. I don't know why it keeps doing this. Can someone please help, I just want to actually use the app.

i'm a little unfamiliar with the versions of miui... but is it froyo or gingerbread...
what sbf path do you take when it bootloops?
for boot manager to run... it needs to be on the ginger kernel... so... 602 or 605

have you tried a different 2init rom? Im not sure but I heard bm and miui dont play nice...not impossible just tricky.... I think....

boot manager not playing well with miui is the versions with ics framework

The version of MIUI you are using should be absolutely fine as a phone rom. It is DCX's last released build and I used it quite a while as my phone rom.... You must make certain that your slot roms are on the gingerbread kernel also. To use cm7 in a slot it must be the Revnumbers cm7 and not the nightlies. Revnumbers is on gb kernel and the nightlies are on froyo...

Yes as BH pointed out, your backup is likely bigger than the 1 GB allotted space. You'll have to make the data size bigger.

I concur. I'm running miui ics 2.1.6 as my phone rom defy 2012 in slot one and ssdx-gb 2.2 up.
No trouble here at all.

Yes I would guess its larger than 1gb so what you do is go into boot manager -> menu button -> Settings -> manually set variables -> then change data to something like 1.5
I had the same problem.
